These rules keep Jonogoner Kotha safe, and they follow the limits the Constitution and the laws of Bangladesh already set. Moderators apply them to every opinion and every comment.
Article 39 of the Constitution protects your speech and also allows limits for the security of the state, defamation, contempt of court and incitement. Article 43 protects the privacy of correspondence. The Cyber Security Act, 2026 is the criminal law for offences committed online. Ordinary criticism of a public decision is welcome here. What that Act forbids is not.
Opinions, personal experience, questions, and criticism of a policy, an institution or a public figure in their public role. Write in Bangla or in English. Disagree with the idea, not with the person who wrote it.
Hate, incitement to violence, threats, harassment, and sexual content involving a child. Publishing someone else’s phone number, address, national identity number, private photo or private message. A claim you know is false, presented as fact. Impersonation. Spam and advertising. A language other than Bangla or English.
An opinion is one language. A mix that is hard to read is sent back. Romanised Bangla is treated as English, and a moderator may refuse it when a reader cannot follow it.
Every decision comes with a reason. You can edit and submit again. Every moderation action is logged. Moderators do not change your meaning. At most they remove the part that breaks a rule and say so.
