Cookie notice

A cookie is a small note the site asks your browser to keep and send back. We use only the notes the site needs in order to work. We do not use cookies to advertise, and we do not use cookies to measure a marketing campaign.

Bangladesh has no separate cookie statute. A cookie that can identify you is personal information under the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026, and this page is the notice.

jk_locale remembers Bangla or English for one year. It is not a secret.

jk_at is the signed-in session. It lasts about 15 minutes. The page itself cannot read it.

jk_rt keeps you signed in for 30 days. The page cannot read it, and it is sent only to the sign-in address.

jk_sh is a flag that a session exists, so the page can refresh it quietly. It lasts 30 days. It contains no name and no email.

jk_oauth exists only while you are signing in, for about 10 minutes, and is then thrown away. The page cannot read it.

The theme, the order of the feed, the numeral style, an unsent draft and a dismissed note are stored in this browser under the name jk. Clearing the site’s data removes them. We do not receive a draft until you submit it.

We do not set Google Analytics, a Facebook pixel, or any advertising cookie.

The write form, the comment box and the contact form ask Cloudflare to check that a person sent them. Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie of its own for that check. We do not read it.

The sign-in provider sets cookies on its own site when you sign in. Those are not our cookies.

Because we do not use tracking cookies, we do not put a banner in front of the page asking you to accept them. You can block cookies in the browser. The site will still open. You will not stay signed in, and the language may reset each visit.

If we ever add a cookie that is not in the list above, we will add it here first, with the date at the top. We will not add an advertising cookie without saying so on this page.
